FROM THE DESK OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
Roughneck and Lady ‘Neck family,
I want to keep this brief because I know communities can at times be bombarded with information but I wanted to reach out.
I have met a lot of you so far, but not all. I’ve been on the job for roughly 4 days so far and let me tell you…everything I expected about White Oak has lived up to that and more. What an outstanding community that my family is blessed to join.
When Dr. Ummel and the school board approved my contract, he said “Welcome home!” That was an understatement. I was speaking with a person the other day who asked me how my first few days have been: I want you to know, there is nothing comfortable about the superintendent job but I already feel at ease. We are in great hands here.
We have an outstanding staff, excellent students and a supportive community. That, my friends, is why White Oak has always been (and will continue to be) a premier school district in the state of Texas. I want you to know that my door is always open and I encourage you to visit. Be warned, I am rarely in my office but I will get back with you on a time to visit. Soon we will be hosting a “meet the superintendent” event. I encourage you and your family to join us. I will get you the information later.
